We’re looking for a compassionate, eco-sympathetic Social Media and Content Strategist to join our team from 1 November. You've really got to know your social media stuff. And you've got to be great at producing content.
Initially the role will be for 4 days per week but we are happy to listen to people who are looking for a full time position.
The social media and content strategist will work with the creative and data teams to lead exciting projects and campaigns for a range of our clients. Our ideal candidate would have experience in copywriting and running social campaigns across a range of sectors including B2B, e-commerce and environmental.
This role includes:
Creating and curating relevant, original, high-quality content for a range of purposes
Developing social media and content strategies
Implementing an editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns
Promote content through social advertising
Tasking execution resource, either internally through Bloom or externally through clients
Managing junior content support
And understanding of paid social is advantageous but actual delivery is managed by another part of the Bloom team.
A marketing, journalism or PR background
3+ years experience in social and content marketing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of graphic design best practices and principles for developing social and web content
Strong technical background with advanced computer skills
Aptitude to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external clients
A competent understanding social listening and content-led SEO
Exceptional leadership capabilities and strong interpersonal skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated experience and a passion for the social technology universe ( Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn)
Experience with social media tools such as Buffer, Tweetdeck and HootSuite
Experience developing and launching email and text messaging campaigns preferred
Ability to distinguish and behave with a good sense of decorum; acting as a brand ambassador is absolutely required
An ability to work with and understand data, analytics, and metrics oriented towards ROI. (Note - this is a core Bloom strength but the candidate should have an understanding of the importance of monitoring accounts).
Some experience using:
Adobe Design Suite CS4 or CS5 (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash)
Knowledge of Wordpress / Squarespace
