THE PROCESS

David approached Creative Bloom after being recommended for our services. We had an initial conversation to understand the stage his business was at and what his goals were for the website over the year ahead. He wanted to be known for his sustainable approach to architecture, be found in his local area for key search terms and be found further afield in the coming years - all aimed towards increasing leads.

Based in Worcestershire, we saw a concentrated but competitive search environment for architects. David was aware of this and with a new website he understood that it may take a while to outrank the competitors who had been holding the top three positions for a while. Nevertheless we formulated a strategy to give us the best opportunity to catapult David’s website to the top of Google.

Working to the structure of our Local SEO Programme we conducted an audit of https://www.dharchitect.co.uk/ and analysed competitor websites to exploit gaps and opportunities. It was at this point clear that we realised the importance of increasing the high quality content on his website, to which David responded proactively and agreed to re-structure the website as we suggested and continue to write unique and compelling articles.

Our strategy to increase off-site signals for the David Holland website, took shape in the form of local link-building techniques and ‘citation sweeps’. We believe this was a vital factor in improving the visibility of DH Architect in Google’s Local Search.

As David’s website was reasonably new, we wanted to instil trust in new customers and ensure that when discovering David’s Google My Business (GMB) page, they would be presented with the best version it could be. This drastically improved the look and feel of the business and will continue to position the David Holland brand as reliable, trustworthy and an architect who produces the highest quality work.

Towards the end of our engagement we spent time looking at the User Experience (UX) of the site, installing heat maps and screen recording software to help better understand user behaviour. This allowed us to re-consider certain call to action (CTA) placements and page structures.
