The Process

The West Sussex County Council approached us to help support a Pilot Programme which would see businesses in the local area be digitally upskilled. Together, our team of video experts and marketing professionals collaborated on the initial test format which would then inform the wider programme and the types of content required.

Initially, we were asked to devise a content plan of what should be included in the test programme, and also come up with a marketing strategy as to how best to advertise the offering. Overall, we wanted to create a strong awareness of the programme and ensure the content was on brand and of interest to the target audience.

In order to do this effectively, we planned strategy sessions and briefing calls with the council to determine their aims and objectives of the programme, the key target demographic and the problems they were looking to solve.

The pilot of the programme was a huge success, and we were then nominated as a delivery supplier and to have oversight of marketing for the entire programme. This meant we were to deliver the customer marketing strategy series of webinars and were tasked with being the Programme Marketing Director. We began by creating a strong brand identity with matching digital assets and anchor points, collaborating with suppliers and the council to ensure tasks were completed in silos.

We created a number of branding supplies and assets, as well as training videos, consistently communicating with all stakeholders and parties to ensure that all efforts were coordinated. What’s more, regular meetings and strategy sessions meant that they were consistently focused on the task at hand and aligned with group goals.

We put together our own training programme, selected speakers and delivered eight sessions in just one month. Overall, the programme was a huge success with over 1,400 attendees taking part across 37 webinars and workshops.
