Building SEO Foundations for Connected Energy

We were approached when the business was preparing to launch a new website; they needed clarity around how to structure their content, prioritise keywords and build a stronger foundation for long-term search visibility.
Creative Bloom supported them with SEO audit, keyword strategy, competitor analysis, page allocation, tracking setup and reporting recommendations. With our help, the team had a clear starting point for improving technical and content performance.

The Challenge
Connected Energy operates in a specialist and emerging category. Whilst this is exciting, it also presents unique challenges.
Their battery energy storage systems help commercial organisations store and discharge energy, including renewable energy generated on site. Their offering is useful, innovative, and timely, but because the market was still developing, search demand was complex, fragmented and not always obvious.
The team needed to understand:
which keywords mattered commercially
how to avoid keyword cannibalisation
how to structure pages around priority topics
where competitors were gaining visibility
how to optimise the new website before and after launch
how to set up tracking and reporting properly
where technical or content issues could hold performance back
This was not a simple keyword list, and we needed to develop a clearer search strategy for a technical product in a growing market.
The Approach
Creative Bloom carried out a layered strategic review designed to separate symptoms from root causes.
We began with a workshop to generate seed keyword topics and understand the key sectors, products, and audiences Connected Energy needed to reach. We then carried out keyword research across five priority sectors, building keyword and content banks to support the website’s SEO inventory and future content strategy.
Our work included:
competitor keyword analysis
priority setting
keyword-to-page allocation
recommendations on how to structure content without creating duplication or cannibalisation
Alongside the search strategy, we reviewed technical and measurement foundations, including GTM deployment, GA3/GA4 setup, conversion tracking, and reporting dashboard requirements.
Once the new website was live, the next step was to review content quality, crawlability, and technical SEO performance. We also developed recommendations for ongoing improvement.
The Results
Creative Bloom gave Connected Energy a clear SEO and measurement foundation for the new website.
The work helped the team:
understand priority keyword opportunities
structure content around search intent
reduce the risk of keyword cannibalisation
benchmark visibility against relevant competitors
identify technical and content issues
improve tracking and reporting foundations
create a clearer long-term SEO and content performance strategy
What This Shows
Connected Energy shows how Creative Bloom helps complex CleanTech and energy transition businesses turn technical propositions into clearer search, content and measurement foundations.
For businesses in emerging markets, SEO is not just about ranking for obvious keywords.
It is about understanding buyer intent, structuring information properly and building a website that can support long-term visibility as the market matures.
