The Process
Having successfully supported the Vattenfall Go-InCharge project with their SEO, Mer approached us to help them to replicate something similar. As providers of electric car charging solutions for business and public spaces, they wanted to enter the UK search landscape - as a non-UK business.
One of the best things about this project is that we were brought in before the website plans had been put together, which meant we were able to set the website structure and search strategy - without the website being live. This meant we were able to redesign the website and carry out a domain integration in line with best practice SEO - without making any changes to a live domain and therefore impacting existing SEO efforts.
As well as this, we carried out a full SEO audit, analysing key competitors to identify where there were content gaps as well as which key search terms and keywords were most beneficial to focus on. With this information, we were then able to put together a thoroughly researched content strategy which would help the brand to create a well-needed presence in the UK and highlight their expertise and USP.
By creating content based on current popular search terms, we were able to show the target audience exactly how Mer solved their problems. Plus, it meant Mer was able to join in the conversation that their competitors were having and increasingly be at the forefront of the EV charging sphere.
Throughout the process, we consistently measured our work and tweaked anything that wasn’t giving us the expected results. So far, we’re thrilled at what we’ve achieved in just one year - smashing our expectations and goals.
